Praestes was founded by two former senior British Army officers who spent their careers at the point where capability meets reality - and saw, repeatedly, how much time and money is wasted when the two don't meet properly.

Our network
Praestes is deliberately small. Our capacity comes from the network around us.
That network is built around people who have recently held the roles our clients are trying to reach - operators, intelligence analysts, capability specialists, communicators, engineers and strategists from across UK defence and government, with security vetting and current domain expertise.
We don't maintain a database and send you a name. Every team is assembled for the specific problem, and every person in it is someone we know and would work alongside ourselves.
Praestes is the holding company for Crossgrain, the platform we are building to take what Praestes does by hand and make it work at scale. Crossgrain will be an anonymity-first professional network and marketplace for the defence, security and resilience sector - connecting verified experts with the organisations that need them.
Until Crossgrain launches, Praestes continues to deliver directly, drawing on the same network and the same standards that will power the platform.
